I just looked at the June calendar www.pioneercarclub.com/events, and WOW are there a lot of car related activities!

If you have not activated your “Login” for the PAC website, I encourage you to do so.  It is real easy.  Kari, Kathy , and Rob have done a fine job of creating a website that is very informative and useful.  I just registered for the Dinner cruise to Wilton on Monday evening, June 7 www.pioneercarclub.com/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=49. It was very easy.  Try it.  Oh by the way, the cruise is fun and the ribeye steak is a great bargain at $15.  They also have several other menu items.  Let’s have a good turnout for the first cruise of the summer.  Meet at the Bismarck K-Mart store parking lot at 6:15PM.  We will caravan to Wilton, do some bench racing, have dinner, and return at our leisure probably before dark.

Buggies-N-Blues car is Sunday, June 13 www.buggies-n-blues.org (check their site for complete schedule).   PAC members are to meet at 8:30AM at Riverwood RV and caravan in to show as a group so we can be parked together.  PAC sponsored Mr. Bob Long from Fargo and his original condition 1908 Maxwell which will be on display and at the Classtigues rod-run on Saturday.

PAC has accepted an invitation to assemble the Model T at the Medora car show Saturday, June 26 and also on stage at the Medora Musical later that evening.  Plan to participate.  It is a fun weekend.  The car show has many classes and usually has some very rare entries.

CHALLENGE TO THE 2010 MODEL T BUILD TEAM:  When I was part of the 2009 MODEL T BUILD TEAM we built the Model T on the Medora stage in less than 3 minutes and at a later date set the assembly record of 2 minutes 46 seconds with a 7 man team.  CAN YOU BEAT THAT?????????

Mark your calendar, shine up your classic, and bring it out to Buckstop Junction at 5:30 Monday evening, July 12 to have a free dinner for two as we and all local car clubs help the ND Department of Transportation host the Western United States State Highway Officials Conference.  More the 400 people are expected to attend.  Let’s show our out-of-state guests some great North Dakota hospitality and our beautiful classic cars. www.pioneercarclub.com/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=22

The Model T fuel truck transmission is in Minneapolis being rebuilt.  Steve Ellefson is in charge of the total project and will have some planned “work dates” for specially talented technicians.  Stay tuned.

I am very pleased with our meeting attendance.  As of our May meeting, we had 128 current members of which 36 were present at Buckstop Junction.  Kent French was drawn for the $50 door prize but was not present so the June drawing will be for $75.  Hope to see you 7:30PM Thursday, June 17 for the next meeting at Buckstop Junction.
